Care Instructions

Polyester satin holds its finish best with gentle handling:

  • Wash: Hand wash in cold water. Do not machine wash.
  • Detergent: Use a mild, bleach-free detergent.
  • Do not wring: Press out excess water gently; wringing distorts the weave and creates permanent creases.
  • Dry: Hang to air dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not tumble dry, as heat can melt or warp polyester fibers.
  • Iron: If needed, iron on the lowest setting with a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric. Never iron polyester satin directly, as it scorches easily. Learn how to iron a graduation sash.
  • Storage: Hang or store flat in a garment bag to prevent creasing and keep the satin sheen intact.
  • Avoid: Bleach, fabric softener, dry cleaning solvents and prolonged sun exposure, which can cause color fading.
